The basic salary of the IAS officer starts from Rs. 56,000 (TA. HRA, & DA are extra payable) and this basic can go upto Rs. 2,50,000 for cabinet Secretary level post.

The Dearness Allowance i.e DA for IAS is fixed at 0% during entry-level career and it increases with promotions and service duration.

The increment in basic pay of IAS Officer was increasing 3% every year at entry-level. The Dearness Allowance i.e DA for IAS was increasing from 0-14% every year during entry-level career.
